Associate Buyer
Overview:
Zoombak, a subsidiary of TruePosition and Liberty Media Corporation, is seeking an Associate Buyer/Planner to perform daily procurement functions and manage supplier database and performance. This position will manage the method of orders to insure the most economical purchases from best sources method is always used. This position has limited scope of authority within pre-established specific policies, procedures and/or guidelines.

Responsibilities:
* Executes daily purchases as appropriate
* Maintains vendor information in SAP
* Monitors service levels and takes corrective action where necessary
* Maintains stock levels in conjunction with min/max levels
* Reviews and manages overdue orders, backorders and non-planned item orders
* Investigates and initiates alternate sourcing as appropriate
* Investigates and initiates cost savings opportunities
* Performs other duties as assigned
* Initiates corrective action to purchase orders as necessary
* Strong analytical and decision-making skills to support effective buying decisions, problem resolution, and cost reductions
* Reviews inventory data base for general information i.e. accuracy, turns, excess etc
Qualifications:
* BS in Business or related discipline and two or more years of relevant procurement experience in telecommunication or high tech industry
* Minimum of 3 years experience is required in general purchasing or warehouse/inventory management in multi-system environment with high customer service requirement
* Proficiency is required in Microsoft applications with emphasis on Excel
* Proficiency in SAP is required
* APICs certification a plus
