Zoombak has launched its latest feature.  It will provide you with location information even if GPS is unavailable!
 
What is Locate Assist?
 
Zoombak can now identify where your device is by accessing the location of the surrounding cell towers when your device is on and communicating with the cellular network.  We process the time it takes for a signal to reach your device to refine your location in the cell.  The result: reasonably precise, highly available location information, accurate typically within 200-300 meters in urban environments and several kilometers in rural areas.
 
 Key Features of Locate Assist
• Works when GPS can not determine a location
• Provides an approximate location when High Accuracy GPS position is unavailable
• Works In-doors
• Works in Cities with High Rise Buildings  where GPS might be obstructed
• Will work 96+ % of the time the device is powered on.

What Does Locate Assist Look Like? (see graphic below)
 
Your locate will be represented by a shaded circle.  The size of the circle will depend on the accuracy of the locate.  There will be a pinpoint at the centerpoint of the shaded area - THIS IS NOT NECCESSARILY THE LOCATION OF THE DEVICE.
 
Please charge and Power On your device.  Your device will be upgraded automatically.
